ON THE JOB:

You will have several people who are directing your assignment. You may only encounter one of them but its important to know who these people are:

  1. The Marketing Director: This individual oversees an entire marketing campaign and may, from time to time, show up at a tradeshow, convention or promotion booth. Please show him or her a high level of customer service.
  2. The Marketing Officer: This is the Marketing representative who will most likely be supervising the assignment itself and quite often, helping out with the promotion or tradeshow booth. The Field Manager and other models will follow the Marketing officers directives. If any of these directives conflict with AFFINITY policy, we ask you to talk to your field manager (or if none is present) call the AFFINITY office as soon as possible.
  1. Affinity Field Manager/Lead Model: Our field managers are models who are especially dependable and who oversee the other models on an assignment. When there is no Marketing Officer, the Field Manager will supervise on-site. In addition to the sign-in sheet used by the Client’s Supervisor, our Field Mgr/Lead Model will have you sign in and out with him/her. While there is a small special compensation, these models most likely will get most job assignments. You should turn to your field manager if you have any questions about hours, problems with the assignment or the marketing staff or any other questions. The Field Manager will call the AFFINITY office and relay any of your questions or concerns. They will also take note of lateness or other performance problems. If you have a problem with a Field Mgr you are encouraged to diplomatically address it with the Field Manager. If you feel it cannot be resolved, you may call the AFFINITY office. You are always free to call the AFFINITY office.

Tradeshow Model Requirements:

AFFINITY’s reputation is only as good as it’s talent. In a business sense, you are our product and service. If you aren’t the best, neither are we. This means

  • Punctuality is crucial. This is why you may be dismissed from a booking if late. We insist you be at a booking 15 minutes early. You must take into account Bay Area traffic conditions and leave early.
  • Looking like a model is crucial. Well-groomed hair, make up, pressed clothes.
  • Courtesy and customer service: Remember, even if the Marketing reps behave rudely, (which they rarely do) rise above it, call AFFINITY and we will try to address the problem ASAP. Always thank the client after a booking.
  • We require 3 days notice for cancellations from models. If you cancel in less time and we cannot find a replacement we may terminate our contract with you. We are human, we understand that people have families and emergencies. We will take these into account. But if your pet frog dies 4x in a row we will have a problem.
  • You do not discuss or negotiate pay with clients or other models. Often front line staff do not know the rate and will misquote it to you, causing needless confusion and concern. Other models may be working at a different rate, thus discussing rates will cause more unnecessary divisiveness. If they ask, refer them to us. Also let us know.
  • While you are a creative artist, you understand that modeling is intimately involved with SALES. You are using your creative influence to create higher sales volume or leads. Therefore, put your creative talents to use in a way that influences the greatest number of potential customers. AFFINITY MODELS & TALENT don’t just "look good." They are ASSERTIVE, OUTGOING, FRIENDLY AND SALES ORIENTED. Your personality is just as--if not more--important than your visual presentation.
