AFFINITY’s Director, Ross Kenneth Grossman has been provided talent scouting services for Chicago and New York agencies for more than ten years.

Ross began his entertainment career as a child actor in Chicago’s prestigious Other Theater with director, playwright David Mamet and director Douglas Leiberman.

Ross received his B.F.A. from UCLA Film School and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from JFKU. A licensed psychotherapist and author, he has been featured in the San Jose Mercury News, multiple San Francisco radio stations and several other media outlets. Throughout the 90’s he performed stand-up comedy and solo performance shows throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

In April 1997, Ross created Affinity Model & Talent Agency, Inc., a California state-licensed Talent Agency. In 2002, AFFINITY moved its main offices to Los Angeles while maintaining active involvement in the San Francisco market. Over the last several years, he has quietly built a strong network of affiliates around the country. Now as President and Director, Ross is always on the lookout for new talent. "An agent never stops working," he reports, "you never know where you’ll find the next great face."

Ross utilizes his professional training to identify models that have the personality qualities so crucial to the modeling industry: conscientiousness, honesty, social grace and diplomacy.

"Being a model is far more than just looking good," says AFFINITY’s director, "it means being sociable, assertive, ethical and most of all, responsible."

As a former child actor, filmmaker, stand-up comic and solo performer, Ross understands the challenges that face models and actors in the entertainment industry. "You must learn how to handle rejection. See each rejection as taking you one step closer to success. Every great salesman knows that you will get 10 ‘no’s’ before you get to the ‘yes.’ Take in information and find out why something didn’t work. Then you improve upon it."

Ross has judged at several national model and talent events including IMTA-Los Angeles, Miss San Francisco, and Miss Asian International.

As a licensed talent agent, Ross auditions all union and non-union actors for agency representation and directs AFFINITY’s Film, Television, Commercials and Radio Divisions.
